Frequently Asked Questions
What is Ledgee?
Ledgee is a chatbot that works across multiple platforms to help you stay informed about your bank accounts and spending.
What can I ask Ledgee?
Ledgee can tell you a lot, but balances, transactions and spending categories are a great place to start. Below are sample requests. If you have an idea for something you want to ask Ledgee, email or tweet us!
- "What is my Chase checking account balance?"
- "What are my credit card balances?"
- "Alexa, ask Ledgee for recent transactions on my credit card."
- "How much I spent on groceries so far this month."
- "Where did I dine out last Saturday?"
Why is Ledgee in beta?
Ledgee is currently operating in a limited beta while we test responses and build out capabilities. From time to time, Ledgee will send invitations to users on our waiting list.
Is the banking data live during the beta?
Yes! One of the primary goals of our beta is to improve how Ledgee interacts with transactions and accounts it hasn't seen before.
How does Ledgee interact with my banks?
Ledgee uses a service called Plaid to securely access your banking information. Using the Ledgee website, you connect bank accounts. Then, Ledgee then uses that connection when you request updates through the Alexa skill. At no time does Ledgee ever store your banking login or password.
Does Ledgee work with my bank?
During beta, Ledgee works with the following list of banks. Following beta, Ledgee will work with more than 15,000 banks throughout the United States.
- American Express
- Bank of America
- Capital One 360
- Charles Schwab
- Navy Federal Credit Union
- TD Bank
- US Bank
- Wells Fargo
Does Ledgee work with banks outside of the United States?
Right now, no, but it's something we would like to add in the future!
Is Ledgee free?
Ledgee is completely free! In the future, Ledgee may provide premium features at a cost.
